Another year, another BBQ. This year we were asked to curate the bands on Saturday. With that came a bit more administrative responsibilities (that were mostly handled by John), and we had decided to sit this one out and make our day the best we could. The other curators were going to have none of that and we were asked to play the opening night shindig at Live Wire.

Our Saturday line up was as follows: OUT, Nick Papador & Aluminum Xylophone Project, Montrose Man, Practice Wife, Body Futures, Haunted Heads, Photo Curio, The Paver (featuring Tony as guest drummer), The Gary, Bone and Bell, Maple Stave, The Austerity Program, Self-Evident, The Rutabega, and Petrillo.

The PRFBBQ returns to Louisville, KY Sept 1-4 over Labor Day weekend and its going to be quite the banger! This one is not to be missed. With heaps of PRFBBQ mainstays like Nonagon, Risk/Reward, The Columbines, and The Conformists, along with noise rock heavies WHORES., Multicult, Buildings, Bummer, power take-Off, sprinkled with awesome Louisville locals like Anwar Sadat, Parlour, Waxeater, Trophy Wives; the event is shaping up to “unfuckwithable”. 60 bands, 3 venues, 4 days, food, drinks, charity raffle, sweat, hugs.

An underground music festival based around the members of the Electrical Audio music Internet forums. Here are some crappy cameraphone photos:

Blood Sucking Fiends played first. The guitarist was noodling around with a little Jesus Christ Superstar before they played, so I was hopeful we might get a little Lloyd/Webber action in their set, but, alas, I was denied.

Death Dream played just before us and the crowd began to grow during their set. Abrasive punk with a Yow-ish singer.

We played next and managed to get through our set without any problems. Soon afterwards we packed up and made room for the next bands. Tony and I left for quiet evenings with our families while John, the rock ambassador of Nonagon and all-around nice guy, rode back to represent for the rest of the day (he’s probably on his bike heading for day 4 of the festival as I type this).
